his spray does help to lift the roots and add volume! It doesn't feel heavy, sticky or anything like that, unlike some volumizing powders. This one is like an hybrid between a powder and an hairspray, so it gives a bit of hold too. I really need an haircut though (my hair feels pretty heavy at the moment) so I can't see the full effect on me (and you probably can't see a lot of volume in the pic either). It's a great product to use too when you want a voluminous ponytail. Be careful if you have dark hair like mine, it can look a bit powdery if you apply a lot.
